A leading consumer insight and research business with a global presence are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Business Development Director to join the business and take responsibility for the sales and marketing to an existing prospect list, as well as seeking new targets and developing increased business from a selection of current ad-hoc clients.
You will be targeting mainly FMCG and other consumer oriented business, so you'll have a strong interest in this area and empathise with their issues to provide the best service and win the business.
Key accountabilities will include
- Contribution to New Business Team Target through individual target performance
- Take ownership of 'own business', developing and maintaining own prospect pipeline
- Manage the commercial process from initial enquiry through to final negotiation
- Recognise customer business needs and devise solutions
- Coach and supporting other team members
- Develop a strong network of contacts
- Co-ordinate delivery of purchased services to the client Person Specification
To be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate
- Proven track record of achieving results
- High client orientation - putting the clients requirements first
- Strong communication skills including ability to actively listen
- Passion to succeed against set business targets
- Had experience of selling solutions or services
