This is fantastic chance to join a leading provider of research, data, analysis and consultancy services across a growing range of global commodities markets. They are looking to hire an experienced conference Marketing Executive to manage marketing campaigns from inception to campaign analysis. You will have responsibility for marketing a range of conferences in the environment, sustainability and green sectors.

Responsibilities will include:

·Developing, implementing and owning the conference marketing and PR strategy. This includes the development of comprehensive marketing plans and management of budgets for each conference.

·Designing, coordinating and delivering conference marketing material including eshots, fax campaigns, brochures and advertisements.

·Working with the Group Marketing Manager and conference team to put together strong sales letters, brochure and website copy and press releases.

·Developing onsite branding material including stage backdrops, banners, badges and PowerPoint slides.

·Managing and maintaining all conference sections on the company website, and making suggestions for improvements.

·Managing paid and organic search engine marketing for each conference.

·Working with the database executive to improve the quality of data, improve acquisition and set company CRM standards.

·Manipulating contact data for segmented marketing campaigns.

·Leading targeted marketing activities via social networks.

·Extensive reporting on website traffic, marketing activities and ROI of marketing campaigns using a variety of reporting tools.

·Identifying and securing new media and association partnerships for all conferences.

·Tracking and analysing competitor conferences, events and market trends, and coordinating reactive marketing activities.

·Working with the conference administrator to improve communications and customer service processes.

·Potential management of any future conference marketing staff as the team grows.



We are looking for someone with the following skills:


·At least 2 years previous experience in conference marketing, including extensive direct marketing experience.

·2 years proven experience using professional design applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign (preferably all) for creating and marketing pieces such as website banners, brochures and advertisements to a high design standard.

·Experience managing marketing plans and budgets

·Strong commercial awareness with particularly good deal negotiation and influencing skills.

·Knowledge of html coding desirable

·Excellent understanding of target audience and segmentation.

·Excellent excel skills and proven experience of data manipulation..

·Proven ability to work to tight deadlines.

·Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

·Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

·Excellent project management skills.

·Educated to degree level.

·CIM or equivalent marketing qualifications would be an added advantage as would an additional language.
