A+E Networks™ UK. Sharing Stories That Matter

We are currently looking for someone to take on the responsibility for devising and implementing digital marketing strategies in the UK and EMEA in line with MarComms objectives; and to lead the Digital Marketing team. You will work closely with: your team to ensure strategies and processes are aligned; our Marketing Manager to build a detailed and expert understanding of our consumers' behaviour on and offline, using campaign analysis and research; and our Marketing and Trade Marketing Managers to ensure digital and non-digital consumer and trade marketing activity is integrated.

Strategy-wise you will create and develop pan-regional digital marketing and social media strategies in line with overall MarComms reach, share and ratings objectives and distribution strategy. You will continuously explore and review new and relevant opportunities within digital media to achieve objectives; analyse data and make strategic recommendations to the Head of Marketing, VP of MarComms and relevant departments within the company; continually review data mining methods to ensure the most beneficial data is being reported on; and implement and execute the social media strategy to maximise the business / departmental objectives.

As expected, in this role there is particular focus on social media and you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all digital marketing projects across all channel brands and territories, including SEM, email, digital display. You will need to devise integrated digital marketing and social media plans for all marketing campaigns; set campaign KPIs that are digital-specific but in line with the overall campaign objectives; and oversee delivery of high quality digital marketing campaigns to brief, budget and brand. Additionally you will need to drive the highest possible levels of engagement across all social media accounts via promotional tools, and drive ROI and identify increasingly efficient digital marketing activities.

You will work with relevant teams to continuously review and improve any internal processes that affect digital marketing activity; and liaise with and communicate to key members of staff on activity and upcoming projects, ensuring there is a high level of awareness of digital marketing activity across A+E Networks UK. Budget management will involve planning and forecasting of all areas of the digital marketing budget, adhering to financial month-end and year-end process. Additionally you will undertake the line management and development of two Digital Marketing Executives to ensure all tasks are delivered on time to a high standard and their objectives are being met. Conduct regular routines, quarterly objective reviews and annual appraisals. And work with the VP of MarComms and their management team to foster a culture of mutual support, in which team members can flourish to their full potential.

You will need excellent organisational and negotiation skills; 1st class interpersonal, communication and written skills; strong analytical abilities and the ability to work across multiple projects and time lines. A background in both digital and non-digital marketing, with significant digital marketing experience; as well as extensive experience in devising and implementing strategy is essential. You need to have demonstrable experience in managing a team and leading people to achieve objectives, and a proven track record in managing key stakeholders and influencing business decisions. Being able to provide clear direction and motivate a team and a good relationship builder is crucial. You need to be a driven team player with a problem solving approach.
