SENIOR CUSTOMER ANALYTICS MANAGER - SAS/SQL

The Senior Customer Analytics Manager will have the opportunity to lead a growing analytics function within a highly successful retail bank. With huge financial investment in this area, this position is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in managing a team and delivering strategy and recommendations at senior manager level to secure a pivotal role within a leading retail bank.

THE ROLE:


You will lead and manage a large customer analytics function, driving business decisions and influencing analytically-driven strategy. You will have an integral role in utilising all analysis surrounding customer retention and acquisition, product performance, web analytics, and data management in order to implement change and improve overall business performance.

You will develop strategy and deliver recommendations for all key areas at board level, and will have the ability to interact both with all analytical and data management teams and senior executives.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:


The successful candidate will have the following essential qualities and skills:

  • Past experience in and excellent understanding of customer analysis; extensive experience in analysing customer data, delivering insights and recommendations, and developing strategy to improve business performance
  • Proven ability to manage a large team of SAS/SQL based analysts; whilst not being in a hands-on analytical role, you will have a solid understanding of advanced analysis (including statistical modelling, segmentation, profiling, CHAID) and how this can be used to make improvements
  • Experience working in/consulting into financial services, ideally retail banking, with a good understanding of the industry
  • High quality degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent qualification, particularly in a numerate subject
  • Outstanding communication skills
