Head of Product
This role is to lead and develop the product & solution management strategy and approach. In doing so, ensure the business achieves its short and medium term revenue, market share and growth objectives. This position will lead a team of Product Managers.
Lead and develop the Product Management team ensuring the team is structured and organised in most effective way. Ensure individuals in the team have the right skills and knowledge to deliver a progressive and innovative approach to product management.
Working with members of the team and other departments, ensure each product has an effective and appropriate market strategy.
As part of this, make sure the business has an effective competitor intelligence and benchmarking process.
Lead research & development initiatives to ensure each product delivers a strong customer experience for all audiences and therefore the required levels of customer satisfaction and advocacy.
Lead research & development projects to ensure each product achieves an effective and recognized differentiated position in the market.
Manage the process by which Product Managers engage and lead the various sales teams in the business. This will include attendance at monthly meetings, and will include a new quarterly product management mini-conference approach.
Ensure all sales teams have appropriate knowledge and tools to effectively sell each product / solution.
Manage the innovation & development process. This covers both the front end idea generation process, and thereafter the product development process.
KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
The candidate will have a strong track record of strategic and operational Product Management & leadership and successful experience of leading innovation and development programmes.
Experience of the prepaid or reward & recognition sectors would be nice, but not essential. But it is likely you will have operated with products that have a technology, online or mobile bias.
The candidate will have experience supporting and working with sales teams and will possess the gravitas and communication skills required to do so successfully.
A highly analytical mindset able to analyse sales and marketing metrics and translate insight into new and future strategies & tactics.
An experienced leader & manager of people that can motivate and inspire direct and indirect reports.
