Account Manager - Direct Marketing

London£30000 - £35000 per annum

Our multinational Insight client works with some of the world's biggest retailers and brands. They use insight to improve customers' retail and brand experience to earn their lifetime loyalty.

An Insight Agency Account Manager must ensure the timely and accurate delivery of targeting data and analysis for the UK. The Account Manager will work closely with the Communications Strategy Lead in developing the right contact strategy for the mailings.

Account Manager Key Responsibilities:
1. Client:
* Responsible for the delivery and forecasting of national trade drivers against the annual plan and any adhoc activity to fill trade gaps
* Lead the evaluation of the programme and delivery of insight and results to drive programme of improvement
* Supporting the Comms Strategy Lead in
- driving and developing new contact strategies (dm, email, scan as you shop) for target customer groups
- Driving and developing strategic tests across each mechanic
* Adopt an interest/category programme best practice and golden rules
* Own the Trade driving golden rules
* Look at loyalty programmes across the world and use learnings to drive best practice
* Develop automated systems when applicable to reduce required resource on trade driver execution
* Quality assessment of coupon targeting and objectives
Producing project summaries for reviewing major findings, ensuring KPIs are available to review strategies

2. Internal:
* Day to day management of the mailings
* Scheduling workflow of supporting delivery teams (data preparation & analysis)
* Management of the virtual delivery teams that support the delivery of these mechanics
* Advising on targeting options for supplier and commercial coupons
* Retaining a commercial focus and ensuring projects are delivered profitably and efficiently
* Proactive communication with client teams
* Working with data planning, creative and analysis teams to develop and evaluate new mailing propositions
* Work with supplier representatives to identify opportunities for supplier collaboration in each mechanic

Qualifications:
Work Experience:
* Proven experience in a data and direct marketing environment
* Demonstrable people management experience
* Experience of campaign management processes for large direct marketing campaigns
* Knowledge of industry best practice
* Excellent experience of creating KPI's Test & Learn programmes for client media and/or marketing campaigns (media testing matrix)
* Ideally a mixture of client and agency experience
* Some creative experience is desirable though not essential
