Business Development Manager
We are looking for a talented individual to join our team and play an instrumental role in building our small but elite agency over the next few years (and hopefully longer).
With a great client list that includes Team GB, Severn Trent Water, Discovery Yachts, Lockton Insurance and Smiths of Smithfield, we are looking for someone who can help open doors to future clients.
We need a highly articulate, intelligent individual who can introduce our strategic consultancy to brand owners and who can handle the delicate process of bringing new clients on board through great relationship management, incisive understanding of clients' issues and needs, creative problem solving, exceptional presentation skills and effective commercial negotiation.
We don't have a fixed idea of background. We're open to someone with or without agency experience. We simply believe that your personality and interpersonal skills are as important as any technical and professional knowledge you might have. Having said that, you'll need to have outstanding verbal and written communication skills to be able to act as a confident ambassador for brand in front of potential clients.
If you want to move into a small, tightly focused but ambitious team and share in the creation of distinctive brands for a diverse portfolio of clients, then this role might be for you. We operate a profit share scheme that ensures all employees share in the commercial success of the business.
In the first instance we would ask all candidates to research our website and then write a short cover letter explaining why you are interested in joining our team and what you think you can offer us. Please attach your CV. We will then shortlist candidates for a brief telephone interview, finally inviting 3-4 candidates for a face-to-face interview.
We are looking for someone who is most likely to be:
-a graduate, ideally with a business, marketing or English degree
-with proven knowledge of strategic marketing challenges
-able to demonstrate sales success in selling complex services
-minimum 5 years business experience
This is a new role and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the position. Rebecca will play an instrumental role in helping to win larger, strategic clients and programmes of work, but is looking for someone who can independently start to build relationships with prospects and can play an instrumental role at all stages of the business development process.
