Therole of Ecommerce Manager is an entirely new one for the organisation. Sitting in the offices near Guildford, but with hotdesking options available once or twice a week in London once established, the role will be tasked with working alongside multiple internal stakeholders to develop and improve the digital offering. In order to do this, the successful candidate will be expected to spend time analysing the existing online sales funnel, identifying opportunities for change to the user journey, and following those changes through. At present there is no one in the business who specifically looks after the digital channel. As such, the senior members of the organisation are looking to defer to this individual's superior knowledge in the subject area. This role will, therefore, be highly autonomous. On top of being targeted on increased online sales, you will also be expected to be an advocate of digital to the rest of the business, in particular a subject matter expert in social media.
The ideal candidate MUST have worked previously as either an ecommerce manager or ecommerce executive, or possible a digital manager/executive within a business that offered online sales in order to be considered. They will also need to be able to back this experience up with numbers - I will be looking for the candidate to demonstrate how they have gone about improving a website, and how many extra sales that has resulted in. Finally this individual will need to have an interest in social media channels. Previous Sector experience is unimportant. - Ecommerce background - Understanding of how to improve UX, and how to use analytics to track and report on these changes. - Social Media knowledge

They are going through a period of massive expansion, and they recognise that digital channels are the way forward, so are looking to invest heavily at this point. Salary of £45000-£55000, plus benefits. Flexible working, including home working, is likely to be offered to the right candidate once established in the business. Hotdesking in a London office one or two days a week could also be an option
