We are seeking to strengthen our marketing capacity with the appointment of a new Head of Digital. This is your chance to have real impact in a role which is at the heart of the planning and delivery of the University’s marketing and communications strategies and activities.
You will be responsible for the strategic direction of digital marketing and communications platforms with a focus of quality on user experience, the service levels provided and the overall quality of communications content.
You must consider how to take advantage of changes in technology and user behaviour and will lead the development and delivery of a programme of activities and initiatives across the University’s digital marketing platforms. You will manage the operational activities of the digital marketing and communications team ensuring that resources are effectively allocated, potential conflicts resolved and that the agreed programme is delivered as required.
You will provide specialist advice and consultancy to the University community across the existing and potential scope of digital marketing opportunities to inform future strategy and platform development and promote digital marketing best practice
An excellent track record of achievement in a senior digital marketing role with proven experience of leading, managing and building a team.
Confident and knowledgeable about how to apply the principles of effective digital marketing and communications in the HE sector.
Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills combined with an ability to think strategically and develop and implement policy specifically in the areas of online user experience, usability and accessibility.
Education to degree level or equivalent with substantial experience or a graduate with proven relevant experience and equivalent experiential learning/work experience.
Significant experience of working in a digital marketing environment in the Higher Education sector is an advantage but not essential.
