Freelance Account Manager
Responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of the Consumer Business Unit (CBU) acquisition campaigns within a fast-paced environment, ensuring that work is on brief, on time and profitable. Must have a solid grounding in direct principles, specifically media inserts and press, but with knowledge and experience of wider media including, door drops, outdoor, radio and DM.
*Ensure all work is responsive and meets DR guidelines
*Handle existing account, liaising with client regularly on all on-going projects
*Brief all relevant parties within the agency clearly and succinctly with the support of SAM when necessary.
*Provide timely and accurate budgets to ensure adequate time for clients to raise POs and to maximise profitability for the agency.
*Present creative work and timing plans to client, including costs involved
*Manage the project management process, turning briefs into reality and ensuring deadlines are met
*Trafficking creative through artwork, ensuring original objectives adhered to
*Determine how best the client's brief can be met, providing opinions and recommendations where required monitoring progress of campaigns and making on-going recommendations for modifications where appropriate
*Ensure billing and sales figures are regularly updated and reflect an accurate picture of work in progress
*Develop relationships and liaise on a daily basis with media and other channel agencies
*Contribute to all meetings attended, with support from the Senior Account Manager, both internally and (when necessary) externally.
*Attend regular client status/weekly meetings and review status and contact reports
*Attend weekly results meeting, reviewing results in advance to understand how each piece of creative is performing
*Work with planners to help creative teams to develop work in line with required strategic direction
*Liaise closely with Planner to understand the competitive environment
This is a DR account with a focus on press and inserts, so a basic understanding of DR principles and test and learn ideology would be useful. The ability to translate ATL initiated brand work through the line would also be extremely useful.
In addition any previous experience in mobile, broadband or media would be beneficial, as would any experience in subscription based marketing.
