Business Development Director
The Role An experienced Business Development Director is sought by this social shopper marketing agency based in central London. The agency is well established in the US and has just opened a London office. This is a very exciting role and an excellent time to join the company as it will be your main remit to help drive the existing business, acquire new clients and build the company profile in this country. The Candidate: This is an out and out business development role. * Candidates must have a clear understanding of the type of role and obvious hunger to do it. * Great presence including presentation skills and listening skills are key. * Experience and a proven track record in generating sales in a new satellite office will be important.
* Digitally savvy. Knowledge of implementing or (preferred) selling media in an online environment is essential. * Knowledge of PPC/SEO/SOV and associated reach benefits will be needed. * Tenacity, perseverance and a pursuit for wanting to close the deal will be key character traits for this role. * Knowledge of shopper marketing /channel marketing will be essential as will a solid understanding of the grocer/FMCG sector Key Tasks & Responsibilities: You will take responsibility for all aspects in leading the generation of the new business in the UK. There will also be a 4-6 weeks hands-on training and immersion in the US at the start of the employment. Working in tandem with the US office and other key partners you will form a new business strategy, a lead generation strategy, a contact strategy, as well as leading and attending prospect client meetings and credentials presentations. Performance will be measured entirely on results - leads generated, credentials booked, briefs received. Remuneration will be a combination of basic salary and performance based bonuses.
