Purpose of the role: To be responsible for the development and delivery of annual marketing plans and budgets in your specific business sector(s) - in association with your third-party business partnership(s) Drive your business sector(s) forward using all marketing channels, to ensure that you deliver against present marketing plans, as well as creating the long-term growth and strategic direction for your sector(s) To provide your third-party partners with a professional and pro-active account management support and manage the delivery of the agreed contracts, strategies, budgets and agreed marketing plans To understand your market sector (from an internal and external perspective) and where necessary produce a comprehensive business case for new business development ideas, incorporating inter alia market research, analysis, due diligence and contracts - all must be signed off by your line manager. Role Responsibilities: To maximise TMG's profits from your business sector(s). Ensuring that all projects, products and services are launched to schedule and that the annual plans are delivered and achieve the annual budget/targets that have been set.
Provide a professional, pro-active and efficient day-to-day point of contact for business partners. Attend regular meetings with Manager and partners to discuss future business and review past activity. Ensure all contractual obligations are met by both parties.

This is a commercial role with stretching revenue targets therefore a commercially-minded individual with a good awareness of numbers and good knowledge of Excel is fundamental to the role. They will have and enjoy using their analytical skills and initiative and will be at ease analyzing data and confident making recommendations, seeing them through to implementation / conclusion.
The role-holder will have previous experience of managing and negotiating with third parties, including negotiating commercials and agreeing contractual terms.
A thorough understanding of Direct Marketing and Direct Response principles and processes is required as well as very strong attention to detail.
This role would suit someone who is looking to work in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to multi-task in order to meet daily deadlines indicative of a national newspaper. The ability to thrive under pressure and having the tenacity to get things done is essential. Someone who can think on their feet and naturally seeks solutions to unexpected situations. You need to be able to think 'outside the box'.
