Digital Manager (fluent German speaker)

Berkshire £35000 - £45000 per annum

This is a new hire for a leading global travel business and requires a fluent German language speaker to further build their presence within the "Central" region from a Digital Sales / Marketing perspective.

An exciting opportunity to utilise your digital marketing experience for a leading global travel / leisure business. The Central digital manager is responsible for all digital sales and marketing activities in the Central region - Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. They are responsible for hitting the direct digital sales forecast for the region and ensuring that all planned activity happens on time and on budget to drive significant double digit growth across web platforms, mobile platforms social media and apps.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- work closely to the Digital Sales and Marketing team at EMEA HQ from where the strategic direction for traffic generation, conversion and major initiatives are driven. They will work with this team to continuously improve the digital strategy for the region feeding back regional issues, plans and results to ensure that the best plans are produced for the region
-work closely to the Direct Sales and Marketing team at the central region HQ to ensure that local needs are met
-to represent the Central region within EMEA HQ and to represent digital within the Central region
-work closely with EMEA managers and EMEA agencies who manage PPC, SEO, Display, eCRM and affiliates, feeding in local requirements and initiatives, adapting schedules, creative assets etc to ensure that the digital marketing campaigns are appropriate for the Central region
-work closely with the Head of Websites and Head of Content to ensure that both the brand websites in each country are fully optimised and providing best-in-class online experience
-work closely with the Head of Social Media and the social media team based in Spain to manage centrally driven campaigns in these areas
-work closely with the Head of Web Analytics and the analytics team to ensure that all activity is tracked and measured
-maintenance, update and optimisation of website content for the central region (7 websites plus language variations)
-ongoing measurement and evaluation of activities. Optimisation of activities to enhance performance
-line management of the digital team based in Germany (x4 team members)
-provide local knowledge, customer insight, market conditions and competitor data
-provide strategic consultancy and operational support to Central Region divisions - Partnerships and Direct Sales in terms of concept, integration and execution of stand-alone online marketing activities
