Commercial Product Manager
Job Description:

The Brand Republic Group combines market-leading B2B magazines, websites, conferences and awards covering the advertising, marketing, media and PR sectors. This is an exciting time to join the company as it transitions from a print to digital business, exploiting new commercial opportunities presented by the digital environment.

As Commercial Product Manager you will work across multiple internal teams and with clients to understand the needs of digital advertisers and commercial partners, identify new revenue generating opportunities and deliver commercial initiatives.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a keen interest in the latest digital advertising solutions, able to assess its suitability for our business and to create solutions which are aligned with business goals and client needs.

Responsibilities

Work with the commercial and content solutions teams to identify, project manage and deliver innovative, profitable client solutions. Use market research, customer and competitor insight, user feedback and analytics to understand customer needs and align them to business resources and goals. Support and co-ordinate the needs of the commercial, editorial, content solutions, ad ops and development teams to successfully design, build and deploy new revenue generating products or product enhancements. Work with the Group Commercial Director and Head of Content Solutions to translate our commercial strategy into a product strategy. Specify development requirements/backlogs for projects with Haymarket developers or third parties. Negotiate effectively with any third parties used to ensure that optimum fees and terms are achieved.   Maintain and track the success of launched products to ensure their continued success. Skills and experience

A track record of delivering successful digital products to market and identifying key performance metrics within a B2B business. Strong project management/delivery skills including creating and maintaining business cases, project plans and roadmaps. Experience of working across different departments including sales, marketing, editorial and development. Excellent communication skills. Good understanding of web usability and digital trends including the use of web analytics software. Customer facing experience and strong presentation skills. Ability to deliver within tight deadlines. Ability to juggle multiple projects in parallel, often with changing requirements and priorities. The suitable candidate will be an experienced product manager able to initiate, manage and launch commercial digital products which engage with the needs of our sponsors and internal teams.

You should be confident with dealing with customers translating their needs into revenue generating opportunities and growing our commercial opportunities.

It is preferable, but not essential, that you have experience of the publishing industry.
