Our client is a large travel and health organisation who are looking for a 2/3 year experienced communications and press candidate. You will be working with an exceptional head of marketing and communications implementing a communications and press strategy. Your role will be to assist and grow/maintain the profile of the company brand and manage its reputation through corporate communications and stakeholder engagement. Although this role is based in Greater Manchester, they are looking for someone who will be able to travel on occasion, regionally and across the UK. So you will require transport of your own (fully expensed).
- Deliver corporate communications and engagement plans and campaigns across the business
-Work with the operational teams to support the planning and delivery of patient and stakeholder surveys
-Work with managers to produce positive media stories and respond to media enquiries;
-Develop communication materials for different audiences including copy writing and liaising with print and design agencies - in line with corporate branding;
-Coordinate and proofread internal and external publications;
-Update and manage content on public facing website;
-Support the delivery of staff communications and engagement
-Support the Head of Communications and Engagement in the production of reports on communications
-Develop and embrace strategy on corporate responsibility, this is a consumer facing role so community engagement is key
Any applicant must have a strong grounding in Communications and Press, with at least 2/3 years experience. A relevant degree or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area. Superb written skills that can be tailored to different audiences with the ability to pull together comprehensive written material. Ability to work without supervision at times is key as its only a small team. Experience or the ability to work across varying levels is also key, working from your own initiative during meetings and reporting.
Previous experience working in a similar position within the public or private sector
Politically and socially aware
Membership of a relevant professional body
Ideally good content online experience
